John D. Klein
John is a co-founder of Cirdan and has more than 30 years of experience working with government agencies, health plans, and health care providers. Specific areas of emphasis have included large-group purchasing and development of new purchasing models, health plan payment reform under Medicaid and Medicare, and initiatives to increase consumer engagement and cross-sector partnerships in the health care marketplace.
Prior to founding Cirdan, John was a principal with Health Strategies Group, Inc. He has extensive health care finance, public policy, and management experience in state agencies with responsibility for insurance regulation, health economics, and health program development.
John earned a master’s degree in management from Northwestern University’s Kellogg Graduate School of Management, and a bachelor’s degree in political philosophy from the St. Olaf Paracollege in Northfield, Minnesota.
