Client Challenge:

Cirdan’s client was interested in more insight into claim experience patterns and trends in medical claims.

Our Solution:

• Cirdan built a custom tool for the client to allow the client to understand their trend information on a total dollar, utilization, cost per service and per member per month basis
• The trend tool:
  • Shows trend results in graphical and numerical presentations
  • Allows multiple years of data to be presented on an annual, quarterly, monthly, or rolling 12-month basis
  • Permits the user to “slice” the results by population, and into subcategories of services
  • Allows the impact of high dollar claims to be isolated

The Results:

The client was able to use the trend information to manage their health care trends, including making contract changes to positively impact their financial results.
